Ed Broome

Senior Consultant

Ed Broome has worked in the IT industry for over 13 years. His experience spans the motor industry, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), and recently major investment banks. IT Service Management has been a consistent theme in his assignments over the last ten years. He has extensive project management experience in the implementation of ITIL ® processes and tooling. His career has taken him to work in the UK, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Singapore.

In 2006 Ed coached the first Australian organisation to achieve ISO/IEC 20000 certification and has been present at all the subsequent audits. This has given him a unique insight into realities of achieving and maintaining this key ICT Governance Standard. He has spoken and run multiple workshops at industry conferences on this topic.

He has had extensive ITIL ® training experience, and has excellent skills in communicating the messages of service improvement and facilitating successful workshops. This has enabled clients to develop and implement improved processes around IT change, incident and problem management as well as the successful deployment of IT service catalogues.

Ed is currently engaged as a service improvement Program Manager at a $AUD 6 bn Australian communications corporation.
Applying a pragmatic approach in managing the intersection of technology and people enables Ed to clearly communicate, energise and lead process improvement initiatives.

Ed is an ITIL ® Certified Manager and holds the consultants' certificate for ISO/IEC20000, the international standard for Service Management. Ed holds a Bachelors' degree in Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Service Management
