At A Glance

This qualification will bridge the gap between the ITIL® Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management and the ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management.  This course is only intended for those holding a valid ITIL® Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management based on ITIL® versions 1 and 2. 

Our Course Covers

The main focus of the Managers-Diploma Bridge will be the NEW content of the ITIL® V3 and those aspects that have changed.  The course has two objectives:

  • Define what is new with ITIL® V3 and
  • Identify what is well known at V2 , which have undergone significant changes

The course will give the candidate competencies in the following areas, upon successful completion of the education and examination components:

  • An understanding of the background to the new ITIL ® version
  • Service Management as a practice
  • Service Lifecycle
  • Key Concepts, Principles, Process areas and functions
  • Technology and Architecture
  • Implementation Considerations

Certification & Examination

This ITIL® V3 Service Management Bridging Course is designed to meet the requirements of the ITIL® V3 Diploma qualification offered by the UK based Information systems Examination Board (ISEB).  The exam is a 90-minute, multiple-choice examination scheduled on the last day of the course.  The pass mark is 80% (16/20).

Course Prerequisites

A qualification of Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management.
